Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she was awarded an Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a household worker. Her upbringing was in a home with four other brothers. As a child, Delaney fantasized of becoming a court reporter. The first time she began modeling was in highschool and eventually gained commercial roles when she moved into New York. The role she was given was that of a young innocent in 1981's soap-opera All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been in a variety of TV dramas and films. Her career hasn't been satisfying or happy life in her personal. The talented actress was afflicted with addiction issues in the past as well as two marriages that failed.
